This reproduced work consists of 80,000 bricks and took 6 months to complete.
Sponsored by the Municipality of Trani, it was exhibited for 45 days between 2023 and 2024 at the Palazzo delle Arti “Beltrani” Art Gallery in Trani and admired by thousands of people.
Features of the original Cathedral
The exterior: The facade, made of local limestone, stands out against the backdrop of the Adriatic Sea. The spires reaching towards the sky and the central rose window give the cathedral a striking appearance.
The interior: The interior of the cathedral is characterized by a solemn atmosphere and soft light filtering through the stained glass windows. The apse, with its mosaic depicting Christ Pantocrator, is a masterpiece of Romanesque art. The crypt, on the other hand, houses the relics of Saint Nicholas the Pilgrim, the patron saint of the city.
The construction of the cathedral dates back to the 12th century and has undergone several transformations over the centuries.
This exceptional work, reproduced in LEGO bricks, is in chronological order, the Fourth National Monument reproduced by Maurizio Lampis.
