Pirates

Pirates have always represented, in the collective imagination, naval battles in distant seas, paradise islands with hidden treasures, pirates with cutlasses and the iconic hook, and a world full of mystery and fantasy. This diorama captures all of that, with British imperial guards defending their fortresses from pirate attacks, as the latter attempt to seize precious gems and treasure chests overflowing with gold.

The diorama, built in just 2 months, consists of around 35,000 bricks. It’s a theme that absolutely couldn’t be missing from Maurizio Lampis’s collection, having grown up with the legend of Jack Sparrow and all his extraordinary adventures.

The varying shades of the sea’s depth, the skull-shaped island, and the many animals inhabiting the islands make this project feel even more lifelike, bringing to life an era rich in curiosity and wonder.
