The Vintage area tells and collects the history of LEGO with some historic sets that take us back in time to our childhood memories. LEGO, born in Billund, is a Danish toy company founded in 1932 by Ole Kirk Christiansen. It is internationally known for its line of assembly bricks, whose production began in 1949, but only in 1958 did they assume the particular shape that characterizes their assembly. The name was coined in 1934 from the union of the Danish words “leg godt,” which means “play well.” By revenue, it is the world’s largest toy manufacturer. On display are historic Castles, starting with Set with Code 375, the yellow Medieval Castle from 1978, which was the first in production. Then came Codes 6086 [Black Knights Castle], 6080 [King’s Castle], 6081 [King’s Mountain Fortress], 6074 [Black Falcon’s Fortress], 6098 [King’s Castle], 6085 [Black Monarch’s Castle].
