Sardinian Monuments
The “Sardinian Monuments” theme features some of the island’s most iconic landmarks.
Among them is the Elephant Tower in Cagliari, which once protected the Sardinian capital from invaders with its mighty walls.
There’s the Sanctuary of Saccargia in Codrongianos (Province of Sassari), built in Romanesque-Pisan style, and the bell tower of San Ponziano in Carbonia, constructed under Mussolini during World War II.
Also included are the Parish Church of Sant’Efisio in Capoterra, one of the most picturesque spots in the Gulf of Orosei (Nuoro), the famous Cala Goloritzé, and the Temple of Antas in Fluminimaggiore (Sulcis-Iglesiente area).
You’ll also find Si’ e Boi in Selargius, with the former distillery and its tall smokestack, the Mangiabarche Lighthouse in Calasetta (southern Sardinia), and the Nuraghe of Silanus in the Province of Nuoro.
This stunning collection has recently expanded with the Church of Nora in Pula, built from an impressive 12,000 LEGO bricks; the Millelire Monument in La Maddalena, made of 800 pieces; and the Zodiac Fountain in Tinnura (Oristano), crafted from 2,500 bricks.
